How Can You Decide Invisalign is Right for You?

Is Invisalign for me?Imagine — actually being able to see your smile getting better, and at the same time your teeth are still being straightened. The process, and results, can be exciting when you decide Invisalign is the right treatment for you!

Both our teen and adult patients at Hilldale Dental are experiencing the pride a new smile provides for your professional and personal relationships. But, we understand you may have some lingering questions about Invisalign, and to help you make your decision, we want to answer a few of your most common ones:

How would Invisalign, in general, work to straighten my smile?

Invisalign is a clear, plastic tray treatment which simply snaps on over your upper and lower teeth. The trays are custom-designed for you! It means none of the usual uncomfortableness of metal braces, painful tightening of wires, or those wires poking your mouth.

Will I have to visit Hilldale Dental a lot during the treatment?

Dr. Jaeger gives you a series of trays to gradually move your teeth in a certain direction. It will be up to you to replace your trays with the new ones, in a sequence we provide, every two weeks. This is important for you to do because each tray is specific to focus on the movement of certain teeth in achieving your goal of a new smile. This means you’ll only have to visit us every 4-to-6-weeks for routine check ups! Patients who choose braces do need to return frequently for tightening, to replace broken wires or brackets, and for check-ups.

Is Invisalign really invisible?

Yes! The aligners are virtually invisible. It is one of the most significant advantages for both teens and adults, especially when you realize most people will never know you’re wearing Invisalign. Many of our patients say they feel more confident than those who are wearing braces, which can mean an increase in self-esteem even while still receiving your treatment.
